Heavy Equipment Liners

Rubber or plastic liners for heavy equipment such as dump trucks, mining equipment, and aggregates chutes and launders are an excellent way to reduce wear, protect assets, and dampen noise and vibration. Canada Rubber Group Inc. (CRGI) specializes in fabricating heavy equipment liners for a variety of equipment types and applications.

Heavy equipment liners supplied by CRGI are designed to be long-lasting and wear- and abrasion-resistant. These liners absorb impacts, protecting equipment structures from degradation and corrosion. Our liners are designed to each customer’s requirements, assuring that they can be easily and securely fitted onto equipment.

Heavy Equipment Liners: Applications

An example of heavy equipment liners that we can supply is truck bed liners for heavy duty applications such as mining and resource extraction. These liners are made from wear-resistant thick rubber and are especially designed to reduce the impact and stresses that are imposed on the truck body from rocks and other loaded materials.

Other heavy equipment liner applications that CRGI has serviced include linings for aggregates chutes and launders. These are used extensively in the mining and resources industries to convey slurries or aggregates from one point to another. Chutes and launders are high-abrasion applications with severe wear and tear imposed on the equipment by slurries and aggregates. Heavy duty liners can reduce these abrasive effects and prolong the life of the equipment and deliver significant savings in the costs associated with equipment downtime and repair.

Heavy Equipment Liners: Materials

Heavy equipment liners supplied by CRGI are made from high-wear rubber or plastic compounds, including the following:

Dura Shield and Dura Shield A+. These abrasion resistant rubbers have optimal abrasion and tear resistance, and are able to withstand attack from a wide variety of chemicals.

SBR Rubber with Synthetic Fabric. This rubber features a synthetic fabric backing, making the material extremely durable and resistant to tearing and stretching. Used frequently as an abrasion and tear resistant liner.

Conveyor Belting. A tough material that is characterized by lateral stiffness and excellent wear resistance. Available in a range of thicknesses, conveyor belt liners reinforced with polyester, nylon, or Kevlar® provide exceptional puncture and wear resistance.

UHMW PE. UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) is a polyethylene (PE) plastic which is tough and durable, with excellent resistance to wear and impact and corrosion. UHMW PE makes a superior liner material in many high-wear and abrasive applications.

Cast Polyurethane. CRGI offer polyurethane liners in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and hardness (Shore A and D). Cast polyurethane offers toughness and durability beyond the range of most rubbers and plastics and can be engineered to your requirements.
