Custom Extrusions

Since our inception, CRG has utilized its engineering and manufacturing expertise and capabilities to supply high-quality custom extrusions for automotive and industrial applications. These products are engineered and manufactured to each customer’s requirements and meet exacting tolerances and specifications.

What are Custom Extrusions?

Custom fabricated extrusions are produced through a production process that forces, or pushes, material through a die (or series of dies) to create a finished part or profile with a specific shape of constant cross-section. Extrusions can be thick or thin and may consist of either solid or hollow cores.

What are the Advantages of Extrusion as a Production Process?

Advantages of producing parts and profiles by extrusion are the following:

  • Ability to create parts and profiles with complex cross-sections.

  • Superior surface finish with no mold flash, pitting, or voiding, eliminating the need for secondary operations.

  • Lower tooling cost versus other production methods.

  • Less material waste.

What types of Custom Extrusions does CRG Supply?

CRG supplies a variety of custom extrusions for industrial and automotive applications. Examples of custom extruded parts and components we have supplied include the following:

  • Door seals

  • Pillar seals

  • Hood and trunk seals

  • Equipment seals

  • Extrusion profiles, in O, D, Square, U-Channel, or rectangular configurations.

Custom extrusions from CRG can be supplied with or without adhesive (PSA) backing. CRG custom extrusions can be supplied in bulk quantities, cut-to-length, or cord-coiled or spooled.

What Materials does CRG use to Produce Custom Extrusions?

CRG works with a variety of standard and advanced materials to produce custom extruded parts and profiles.
