Gasket Material Workshop at GFA Gasketing/Converting Expo

Workshop will highlight latest advances in gasket materials

CRGI is excited to announce that we will be attending the upcoming Gasketing/Converting Expo, to be held by the Gasket Fabricators Association, March 25-27 in Orlando, Florida. Besides attending, CRGI will be presenting a workshop highlighting the latest advances in gasket materials which support a wide range of applications.

Showcasing more than 100 exhibitors, the GFA’s Gasketing/Converting Expo is an annual event that attracts some of the top industry professionals and provides attendees with a unique and valuable chance to meet with both new and existing suppliers.

As a GFA member, CRGI regularly attends the Gasketing/Converting Expo.  CRGI president Gord Sirrs remarks, “Attending the Expo allows us to stay abreast of the latest industry trends, see the latest manufacturing technology on display, and participate in learning and information workshops. The GFA Expo is always a key date on our calendar.”

CRGI is an active member within the GFA. Sirrs heads up the GFA Communications Committee, tasked with surveying GFA members to gather data on industry and member performance. The Communications Committee analyzes the survey data and feeds it back to members so that they can make improvements that benefit the entire industry. “The Communications Committee will be meeting during this year’s Expo. GFA committee meetings are an integral part of the Expo’s agenda,” says Sirrs. “At the Expo, our committee will meet to review our activities and initiatives, and report back to members on progress.”

At this year’s Expo, CRGI will be co-presenting a workshop on Innovative Gasket Materials with Teadit North America, a leading manufacturer of sheet rubber for gaskets and other fabricated rubber products. The workshop will update and educate GFA members about the latest innovations in gasket materials. Bill Searle, fluid sealing specialist with CRGI, will be co-leading the workshop together with Chad Dercks of Teadit North America.

“Our workshop on innovative gasket materials will be one that Expo attendees will not want to miss,” says Kevin Ferguson, Vice President of Operations at CRGI. “There have been significant advances made in gasket materials recently, leading to improved products for end users. As a materials supplier, we feel it is important for attendees to stay abreast of these latest developments so that they can take advantage of the performance characteristics of these new materials.”

The Innovative Gasket Materials workshop will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2014. For those unable to attend the workshop, a downloadable set of the workshop materials will be available from the CRGI website following the event.
