Precision Cut Rubber Gaskets and Fabricated Rubber Products

The production of rubber gaskets and fabricated rubber products have come a long way since the days when these products were designed, drawn, and cut by hand. In large measure, much of this progress has been attributable to the introduction of computer –aided technologies. Today, CRGI produces rubber gaskets and fabricated rubber products and parts using the latest production technologies driven by Computer Aided design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems and software.

Computers first began to revolutionize product development and manufacture in the 1970’s. In particular, the introduction of Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in the late 1980’s and early 90’s significantly reduced the time associated with product development and manufacture, causing development and production lead times to shrink dramatically.

As a leader in supplying gaskets and fabricated rubber products, CRGI uses state-of-the art CAD/CAM software and systems to provide customers with best-in-class lead times and service. Our use of CAD/CAM processes allows us to achieve unsurpassed product quality together with ultra-short lead times in quoting and estimating, prototyping, and manufacturing.

A major benefit of using CAD/CAM systems is that CRGI is able to integrate seamlessly with our customers to accept and process customer-supplied math data and drawings. Using CAD technology, CRGI can accept drawings and math data from customers in a variety of 2D and 3D file formats. This allows us to ensure that all parts are produced accurately to customer-defined tolerances and specifications. In addition, CAD/CAM systems allow us to quickly and easily introduce modifications to a product design or specification, and ensure that these changes are carried through accurately to our shop floor production processes.

On the shop floor, CAD/CAM systems drive much of CRGI’s production technology. CAD/CAM systems permit CRGI to quickly produce precision cut gaskets and other fabricated rubber products and parts. CAM also allows greater process productivity and efficiency by allowing operators to nest parts and obtain the greatest yields from material. The net result of these advantages is that CRGI customers benefit from fast order processing and competitive pricing.
